A couple weeks ago… a friend pinged saying “100 days of 2024 are gone!”.
I’m approximately 200 days into my journey of working for myself. In some ways it feels long, but also quite short.
Are there things I would have done differently in these past months?
Certainly.
Are there things I can be proud of and celebrate?
Absolutely.
Got called in… for a last minute project in London and scored an extra day for myself. Non work highlights included Dover Street Market, The Marksman Pub, Margaret Howell and the iconic Daunt Books. Finally, after probably a dozen visits I made it. Didn’t have so much time to reach out to any one, so if you are London based and reading this. I am sorry and next time.
Planning to spend some time… on the road this next month connecting to cities and places I have not been in a long time or have always wanted to go. It’s part business development, part satisfying one’s spirt! And also leverages the flexibility I have in this current nomadic stretch.
Every year that passes in which I have not visited the Pantheon is a travesty. I recently rewatched Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and Inferno and was reminded of it.
I think now is the time…Ciao Roma.
Anytime I experience something profound, I struggle to find something to write about and share here in these monthly’s. Some things just change how you see the world.
And Dune 2 was that... I saw it twice in opening week and have purposefully not really shared much about it as I wanted as many possible to see it without me shaping their expectations.
So I’ll blame that for not writing here last month.
I have to give it justice sometime, somewhere though. I am thinking of making my mom and dad watch Dune 1 and 2 back-to-back when I am home next with me.
Hmmm. What else?
Spring is slowly arriving… in these parts, but am heading to the continent shortly. This was a long winter, without much sun.
Sitting in the sun hearing the birds sing is one of the most incredible wonders we have.
Best until next time!
Jamie
